West Chester’s Night in White
Helping Children with Life’s Basic Necessities
Saturday, September 12, 2020
Since 1996 this event has been celebrated in one form or another, and since our first year in West Chester back in 2012, WC Summer Soiree has become a staple of the season. We hope you’ll consider joining us or sponsoring the event to help raise funds for these worthy causes…
The mission of the Westside Community Center
is to empower families and youth academically, socially and spiritually, inspiring them to take on leadership roles in their community. Donations from the WCSS will go directly to the After School and Skate Spot programs, reaching local middle and high school students. Their goal is to create healthy spaces and relationships that can change the trajectory of lives in a positive direction.
The Mission of A Haven
is to partner with grieving families by providing support, outreach to the community, education, and hope. They offer various grief support groups and resources for children and their caregivers. All support groups are offered at no cost to families and are located at their location in Exton. With funds from the WCSS, A Haven hopes to expand programming to grief-specific groups (death by suicide, father’s group, child loss group) and to explore additional space to hold these groups.
Working in partnership with the Chester County Family Academy
, a charter school in the West Chester Borough, our proceeds offer low-income families food and clothing during the summer months, backpacks full of school supplies, and new books for children.
